What counts as an hour
Hours are transcribed audio per calendar month. Features of the product are the same on Free through Ultimate; you pay for a higher monthly hour cap, not a different feature set. See Plans and billing.
Quotas follow the billing month for your plan. Hitting the cap does not delete past meetings.
Who each plan is for
- Free - Try the product: bot-free capture, your notes and whiteboard photos first, Memory search, study tools. Four hours is enough to decide if this belongs in your workflow.
- Starter - For people who record work meetings every week. Twelve hours a month, with full support for long meetings.
- Pro - Consultants, teachers, and teams with a fuller calendar of recorded conversations.
- Ridge / Ultimate - High-volume months when you would rather not watch the meter mid-project.
Cancel anytime. You cancel or change a plan where you bought it: website, Windows, and Mac plans through Stripe, Android through Google Play, and iPhone through the App Store.
When you reach your hour limit
When you use all your hours, SummitScribe offers a higher plan. If you bought through the App Store or Google Play, you see a Manage button instead. Existing meetings stay. New processing waits until next month or until you upgrade.
SummitScribe does not join your call as a participant. Capture stays on your phone, computer, or an upload you choose. SummitScribe does not train AI models on your recordings, transcripts, notes, or photos. Details: Privacy and AI processing.
App Store / Play note: In the iOS and Android apps, plan cards show each store’s price in your local currency. Those prices can differ from the website USD table above. Each account has one plan. If you subscribe through Apple or Google, Stripe does not bill you too.
