Help Center · Inside a meeting
One meeting, two devices
Record on your phone, type full notes on your laptop, and snap whiteboard photos on your phone — same live meeting while the phone owns the microphone. Open that meeting in the Windows app while recording is still running on the phone.
When this helps
- Phone capture is easier (you are in the room, or you want system / meeting audio on the phone).
- You want a full keyboard for My notes on a Windows laptop.
- You still want whiteboard or slide photos from the phone.
Steps
- Sign in on the phone app (iPhone or Android) and the Windows native app with the same account.
- Start recording on the phone. Let the phone own the microphone.
- On Windows, open that same meeting in the native app. Do not start a new recording on the laptop.
- Type full notes in My notes on Windows.
- Snap whiteboard photos on the phone (camera or gallery). Photos live in their own store, not inside the notes editor.
- Stop on the phone when the meeting ends.
- Reopen the meeting on Windows after Stop to see Processing, then Ready — and to see the photos you added on the phone.
Important
Use Windows native for notes. Do not open the website for that meeting while the phone is recording. The web meeting page can auto-start a second capture, and the laptop becomes another recorder.
One notes field. Leave My notes empty on the phone if you are typing on Windows. Last write wins — editing notes on both devices can overwrite.
Photos are separate. Phone photos during the recording are fine. They are not stored inside the notes editor.
Photo refresh. On the website, the photo section often refetches about every 30 seconds. The Windows native photo strip does not poll during recording — reopen the Windows meeting after Stop to see new phone photos (same as checking Processing / Ready).
Notes do not live-mirror. This is not live two-way sync between devices. After you Stop on the phone, reopen the Windows meeting for status.
