SummitScribe ships 37 meeting templates. Pick the one that matches what you are recording so the AI knows which structured fields to fill and which optional extras (study mode, role views, pipeline artifacts) to make available.

User Notes are always first-class. Templates just change the supplemental structure. Switching templates after processing is cheap — see Templates.

How templates work

  • The picker is hierarchical by category. Use it from Home, the upload sheet, or the meeting's own picker.
  • Each template defines a set of synthesis fields (meeting-wide) and section fields (per segment). The AI fills both.
  • A few templates unlock sub-views (flashcards, practice quiz, mind-map tree, Cornell cues/notes layout) and role views or pipeline artifacts on the Details tab. See Role views and artifacts.
  • Favorites and last-used are kept per browser.

Defaults and quick picks

  • Set a default template in Account settings — your account-wide default. It can be overridden per meeting.
  • The dashboard's Record flow uses the template selected at capture time. The upload sheet picks up the same default.
  • Favorites and last-used in the picker are kept per browser (taste, not account data).
