Lecture / Talk Notes

Category: Education & Learning

Class, talk, or podcast. Tracks concepts covered, key takeaways, questions raised, and study topics.

When to use this template

Use it for any single-session spoken content you want to study from later: a class lecture, a conference talk, a guest speaker, a long podcast episode. If you are prepping for an exam and want cards and a practice quiz, see Pass-the-Test / Exam Prep. For step-by-step procedures you need to repeat, see Tutorial Walkthrough.

Fields captured

  • Concepts covered — the main ideas introduced in the talk.
  • Key takeaways — the most important points to remember.
  • Questions raised — open questions to revisit later (in-class, on a test, or for the speaker).
  • Study topics — what the AI suggests is worth reviewing.

The standard summary, attendees, and per-section summaries also apply.

Sub-views, role views, and pipeline artifacts

  • Sub-views: none — but long lectures also surface Pass-the-Test flashcards if you switch templates (see Study mode).
  • Role views: none.
  • Pipeline artifacts: Email draft (recipient, tone, optional subject hint).
  • Study mode: available on this template — Study mode shows the meeting's concepts, key takeaways, and study topics, and supports flashcard generation for some content.

Exports

PDF, DOCX, and Markdown include the synthesis (concepts, takeaways, questions, study topics) plus per-section summaries. The DOCX export gets a flashcards appendix if you generate one.
