Classic Cornell-style lecture / study notes: cues, notes, summary, key terms, study questions.

When to use this template

Use it when you want the canonical Cornell layout — cues (left), notes (right), summary (bottom) — for a lecture, sermon, talk, or long study session. The structure is built for recall: each note block carries the cue questions that prompted it, so when you come back to study you can cover the notes and ask yourself the cues. Fields captured

Notes — the main body, where each block is a passage of notes plus the cues (questions or keywords) that prompted it. Block shape: { content, cues[] }.
Key terms — { term, definition } pairs.
Study questions — prompts the student should be able to answer.
Speaker — the principal speaker (lecture, sermon, talk).
Attendees — who was present.
Key takeaways — the AI's prioritized summary points.

The standard summary and per-section summaries also apply. Synthesis-level notes live in a cornellLayout payload so DOCX/PDF/share can render the true Cornell layout rather than only bullets.

Sub-views, role views, and pipeline artifacts

Exports

DOCX and PDF emit the Cornell layout (cues column / notes column / summary). Markdown falls back to a labeled bullet list per block. Approved role views and pipeline artifacts do not apply here.
