Pass-the-Test / Exam Prep
Category: Education & Learning
Exam-focused study notes: must-know facts, potential exam questions, flashcards, common pitfalls, formulas and processes, study plan.
When to use this template
Use it when the meeting is spoken content you intend to be tested on — a recorded lecture, a podcast-style review, a study group run-through. The template is designed to produce study artifacts (cards, quizzes, a study plan) you can keep revising. For a lecture where the goal is understanding rather than recall, see Lecture Notes. For Cornell-style cues / notes / summary, see Cornell Notes.
Fields captured
- Must-know facts — the critical facts guaranteed to be tested.
- Potential exam questions — questions you should be able to answer.
- Flashcards — atomic Q/A cards with
front, back, optionaldifficulty(easy/medium/hard), andtags. - Common pitfalls — typical mistakes to avoid.
- Formulas / processes — equations or step-by-step procedures to memorize.
- Concepts covered — the main ideas covered.
- Study plan suggestions — how to study this material (synthesis pass only).
- Practice questions — opaque quiz items rendered by a separate practice-test view; they are not in the synthesis exports.
The standard summary and per-section summaries also apply. Attendees are listed.
Sub-views, role views, and pipeline artifacts
- Sub-views:
- Flashcards — a real deck of cards with front / back / difficulty / tags. Long lectures run per-section flashcard generation, so a 3–4 hour recording is not reduced to a handful of cards.
- Practice test — a four-choice quiz with shuffled A–D letters each time the question is shown. Length scales with the recording (about a dozen items for a short review, up to ~80 for a long lecture).
- Study plan — generated by the synthesis pass.
- Role views: none.
- Pipeline artifacts: none.
- Study mode: yes — see Study mode.
How it handles long lectures
A long lecture is not distilled into summary-only notes. The pipeline runs per-section flashcards and must-know facts, then the synthesis pass merges them into a single deck so the page is fast even on a 3-hour class. Regenerating this template re-runs those section notes (it does not only rewrite the lecture summary).
Exports
PDF, DOCX, and Markdown include the synthesis (facts, exam questions, common pitfalls, formulas, study plan) plus a dedicated flashcards appendix with front/back/difficulty/tags columns. Flashcard decks can also be exported as Anki TSV or CSV from the share page.
