Android app

The Android app is a product shell. It loads the live website at summitscribe.app and adds native capture, notifications, and Google Play Billing. It is not a separate account or a rewrite of the product.

Package: com.summitscribe.app on Google Play.

Install and sign in

Install from Play, open the app, and sign in with email, Google, or Apple. Google/Apple return into the app; do not finish only in Chrome.

Recording

Native capture owns every recording in the Android app:

  1. Tap Record on Home (or start from a meeting).
  2. Allow microphone when asked.
  3. Optionally turn on Include system / meeting audio. Android shows a system consent dialog (MediaProjection). We do not record your screen. Some apps block playback capture; then you still get the microphone.
  4. A recording notification (foreground service) stays up so capture can continue with the screen off. You can Stop from that notification.
  5. Take notes and photos as on the web. The screen can stay awake while the live bar is showing.

Long meetings upload in segments. Dual-gate background upload plus the foreground service keep the session alive.

After processing

If you opt in, a local notification can tell you when AI is ready. Open the meeting from Home.

Subscriptions

In the Android app, Starter / Pro / Ridge / Ultimate are sold through Google Play Billing (same hours as the website: 12 / 24 / 40 / 80). You cannot start a Stripe checkout inside the Play app.

  • New subscribe: Plans in the app.
  • Upgrade (for example Starter → Pro): Account settings → View plans → Upgrade.
  • Cancel: Manage on Google Play.
  • Restore: Restore purchases if you reinstall or switch devices.

You have one live plan. A Play-owned plan is not also billed on Stripe. See Plans and billing.

Offline

Keep offline stores a meeting pack in the app library. Cold start with no network can open a local offline page. See Offline.

Honesty about system audio

We do not claim Zoom, Teams, or WebEx audio on every phone. If include-playback is off or the other app blocks capture, you still have the microphone.
