Study mode

On eligible meetings (lectures, Pass the Test, mind-map notes, Cornell, and similar templates), SummitScribe can turn the recording into study tools. Entry points:

• Home Study card (only if at least one meeting qualifies)
• Meeting Study tab

Practice test

On Pass the Test meetings, the Study tab includes a four-choice quiz as well as flashcards.

• Pick an answer, then rate Again / Hard / Good / Easy. Rating advances to the next question.
• Answer letters A–D are shuffled each time a question is shown (including a second pass). The stored answer does not change.
• Answers and ratings persist so you can leave and resume.
• Missed stems stay available for another pass.
• Quiz length scales with the lecture. A short review stays around a dozen items; a multi-hour lecture can go up to about 80 questions.
• The quiz is generated after Pass-the-Test notes. If it is empty or the deck looks thin for a long recording, regenerate Pass the Test from the template picker — that re-runs per-section study cards (not synthesis-only) and then the quiz. A 4-hour lecture cannot be filled from summaries alone.

Long Pass the Test recordings keep per-section facts and flashcards, then merge them into the lecture-level deck so a 3–4 hour class is not reduced to a handful of cards. Regenerating Pass the Test re-runs those section notes (it does not only rewrite the lecture summary). User Notes are never overwritten.

Flashcards

Open the deck for an Anki-style session:

• Tap or use keyboard to flip the card.
• Rate Again / Hard / Good / Easy. Your ratings are stored in a parallel progress list so they are not mixed up with the AI’s original difficulty.
• Progress does not reset if the page quietly refreshes the same cards.

Export:

• Anki TSV and CSV from the share page when flashcards exist.
• Flashcard appendix in the DOCX export.

Reset progress from the study UI if you want to start over.

Mind map

A read-only map of the meeting’s branches. Use the toolbar to zoom, fit, center, expand, or collapse. On a phone, pinch and pan; pinning a topic chip does not freeze zoom.

If the map looks empty, try expand all, then fit. Very large meetings paginate other UI; the map still loads the stored tree.

When Study is missing

The meeting’s template does not produce study artifacts, or AI has not finished synthesis. Switch template or wait for processing — User Notes are still there either way.
