Recording in the browser

Use this path on the website when you are in the room or on a call and the browser can use your microphone. For duplex (microphone + what you hear), prefer Windows, Mac, and Linux, Android system audio, or iOS Screen Recording.

Start

1. Sign in and open Home.
2. Optionally pick a template (or use your default).
3. Tap Start Recording and allow the microphone if the browser asks.
4. You enter the live meeting. A timer shows elapsed time.

Audio is encoded at 128 kbps so speech-to-text stays reliable on long calls. Do not lower quality in the browser.

During the meeting

• Type in User Notes. Those notes are saved as you go and survive stop, upload, and AI processing.
• Add photos (whiteboard, slide, paper). They live in the photo section, not inside the text editor.
• You can navigate Home and come back; the live session is held at the app level so Back does not kill the mic.

Stop

Tap Stop. The app finishes the last audio segment, uploads it, and starts AI processing. Stay on a connection until upload completes when you can. If the network drops, see Offline.

Long meetings

Two-to-four-hour meetings are a primary goal. The browser uploads in segments rather than one giant file. If a live connection drops, recording is designed to continue locally and finish later.

When not to use the browser mic

• The meeting is desktop-agent capture — the website will not start a second recorder.
• You are in the Android app or iOS app with native capture — the app owns the microphone.
• You need system/meeting audio on a laptop — use the desktop app.
