Daily standup meeting notes template
Category: Business & Professional
A daily standup meeting notes template is for the 5–15 minute team check-in - not a deep planning session. Pick Daily Standup when each person answers what shipped yesterday, what is on deck today, and what is blocking them. If the room stretches into cross-team planning or a full status report, switch to Internal Meeting or Status Update instead.
The template shapes AI fields (yesterday, today, blockers per person) without changing your User Notes. Attendees are listed; contributions are attributed per field. There is no separate action-items column on this template - blockers carry the “in the way” signal the way a classic scrum board does.
Fields the template fills: Yesterday · Today · Blockers · Key takeaways (plus the standard meeting summary and per-section summaries).
Artifacts: Email draft (recipient, tone, optional subject). No role views. No study mode.
Sample outline (demo data)
Team Alpha - Mon standup
- Alex - Yesterday: Merged auth fix. Today: Start billing webhook tests. Blockers: Staging Redis flake.
- Jordan - Yesterday: Closed two support tickets. Today: Pair on onboarding copy. Blockers: None.
- Sam - Yesterday: Drafted sprint goal. Today: Pull capacity for Sprint 14. Blockers: Waiting on design review.
- Key takeaways: Unblock Redis before noon; design review is the only cross-team dependency.
Fields captured
- Yesterday - what got done since the last standup.

- Key takeaways - the AI's prioritized summary points.
The standard summary and per-section summaries also apply. Attendees are listed; their contributions are attributed per-field.
